From May 9 to 11, 2025, the IRONMAN 70.3 race was officially held in Da Nang, marking IRONMAN's 10-year milestone in Vietnam.
While the first season in 2015 only saw 1,012 athletes participate, this year over 3,500 athletes from more than 70 countries worldwide gathered in this beautiful coastal city.
Athletes competed in a triathlon consisting of a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike ride, and 21.1 km run on Da Nang's most scenic routes. Among them, Mr. Konno Ryota, 24 years old, currently working at the Anabuki Group (Japan), also competed.
He completed all three disciplines in an impressive time of 4 hours, 27 minutes, and 41 seconds, ranking 21st out of 1,802 athletes in the triathlon category. Furthermore, in the 25-29 age group ranking, Mr. Konno achieved an excellent result, placing 2nd, which is truly remarkable.
Mr. Konno is a young, enthusiastic, and promising athlete. We can certainly expect him to improve his performance and break his personal best in next year's season.
